HISTORY
The Twente Mixing Ring (TMR) was invented by Twente University in The Netherlands and patented in Europe, USA, Canada and Japan. Its design was based on the Cavity Transfer Mixer (CTM) which could only be used for extrusion applications. The free moving ring with holes (of the TMR) wipes the cylinder clean and takes care of a superb mixing and acts at the same time as a check ring. This makes the TMR also an ideal mixing valve for injection moulding machines. MAS International b.v. aquired the rights for this mixer and further developed it into an easy to install unit for both injection moulding and extrusion.
